Cleaning Procedure

There are several steps to proper carpet cleaning. Please follow I'ves Carpet Care cleaning procedure below.

You will notice that some of the steps are optional depending on the condition of your carpet and your personal preferences. We will never perform any services that were not previously agreed upon.

1. Our first step is to brush your carpets to loosen as much dirt from the carpet fibers as possible.
   
   
2. We move some furniture if agreed, customer may move breakables the night before.
   

3. We vacuum your carpets to make sure they are free from dirt, lint and debris.
   
   
4. All carpet areas that are scheduled for cleaning are then pretreated.
   
   
5. If carpets are very soiled, we can use a scrubber on the fibers. (Optional)
   
   
6. The large hose is brought in for carpet cleaning - water temperature is around 190 degrees.
   
   
7. A pleasant fog of your choice of fragrant carpet deodorizer is sprayed. (Optional)
   
   
8. After the carpets are rinsed thoroughly, we can apply a scotch guard or Teflon protector on them. This step is highly recommended to keep extend the life of your carpets.
   
   
9. Your carpets are raked (groomed) to remove any wand marks. (Optional)
   
   
10. Upon completion of cleaning your carpets, we will ask you to walk the area with us to ensure that everything was done to your satisfaction.
